Description

Unitec seeks an experienced Project Manager for its Long Island City (LIC) location.
Reporting to the EVP, Modernization, the Project Manager will oversee various project management activities to ensure the efficient and timely execution of tasks within the Modernization Department. This role is responsible for multiple activities related to project management, including, but not limited to, process design and implementation, reporting, estimating support, and contract management support, among others.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee project management initiatives to ensure that projects stay on track.
* Create and maintain various reports for presentation to management.
* Develop and execute project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
* Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
* Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing risks and issues.
* Communicate regularly with field employees and management to ensure support and manage expectations.
* Manage project budgets, meet financial goals, and utilize resources efficiently.
* Implement project management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
* Conduct cost analyses to estimate expected project costs.
* Conduct risk assessments and report identified risks to management.
* Provide recommendations for risk mitigation, including project termination if appropriate.
* Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project.
* Ensure constant and consistent communication between the company, customers, and vendors.
* Maintain compliance with all regulatory agency requirements and uphold company standards and best practices throughout each project.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Hazards:
* This job operates in a general office environment; however, based on project needs, on-site visits may be required.
* This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Special Physical Demands:
* This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required, along with the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as needed.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Contact Group:
* Significant contact with all departments and staff in the designated business unit.
* Moderate contact with external customers.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field.
* An advanced degree or Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus.
* At least five years of direct experience as a Project Manager, demonstrating successful project delivery.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve problems efficiently.
* Adaptable and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Must have exceptional multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a demanding setting.
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building strong relationships.
* Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality and results.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word, as well as in project management software and tools.
