Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing Projects from initiation to completion. Manage, monitor and control quality,finances, timlines and scope of projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality and safety standards.


Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • N Diploma/B Degree in Electrical Engineering. (Compulsory)
  • N Diploma/B Degree in Project Management(Advantage).
  • Project Management accreditation.(SACPCMP and/or PMP)


Experience:

  • 5 years project engineering or management in industrial projects.
  • 3-5 years of plant maintenance or installations work.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Design, Electrical & Project Engineering (CAD System).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in FIDIC, JBCC, GCC or NEC Contract Management.
  • 3 years’ experience in Management or supervising a Team.


Responsibilities:


Project Planning and Execution:

  • Understanding design and installation requirements from documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, etc.)
  • Contractual management and controlling of the project (whether FIDIC, JBCC, GCC or NEC)
  • Developing comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively, meeting all specified goals.​


Team Leadership:

  • Leading cross-functional teams, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring team members are aligned with project objectives.​


Collaboration & Reporting

  • Ensuring adequate integration of all key organizational streams –required to support the project execution within the PMO. These streams include amongst others the Engineering stream, Workshop and Installations stream, Procurement / Warehouse stream as well as SHEQ stream.
  • Ensure the control and configuration of site documentation in accordance with the Drawing Manual.


Budget Management:

  • Preparing and managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.​
  • Assess cost effectiveness of projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to budget as the
  • All work is completed to the Client's satisfaction, within budget.


Stakeholder Communication:

  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships and effective communication with clients and the business


Risk Management:

  • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.​
  • Management of all internal and external stakeholders’ expectations including external stakeholders (Client reporting, Programmes, Risk and Issue registers, billing) as well as internal stakeholders (budgeting, forecasts on costing and billing, earned revenue, profit and loss, progress reporting)


Quality Assurance & Safety:

  • Ensuring that all project deliverables meet the company's quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain high standard of safety for all work activities. Ensure that safety takes precedence in any conflict with time, cost or quality.


General & Training Development

  • To undertake professional development activities to maintain and extent competence.
  • Undertake Specific Client Training as required to fulfil role.
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post as required from time to time.
