Job Title: Project Manager - Electrical Construction
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale data center project in the West Valley.
Responsibilities
* Understand and manage contract requirements, including scope of work, change orders, and closeout requirements.
* Conduct pre-job meetings with all project team members and prepare necessary documentation.
* Develop and manage labor resources and project scheduling, evaluating needs against estimates and job cost tracking reports.
* Set up and review job cost tracking reports, budgets, and schedules of values to ensure positive cash flow.
* Assist in obtaining, assembling, and reviewing timely submittals and O&M manuals for a timely closeout.
* Initiate, direct, and review large purchase orders and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
* Promote production, quality, and safety through pre-planning and the use of appropriate tools and analyses.
* Prepare and review correspondence, ensuring timely, professional, and accurate communication.
* Create and manage billing schedules to ensure positive cash flow and timely payment collections.
* Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and approval.
* Analyze and update cost to complete reports, including performance measurement and quantity measurements for larger projects.
* Coordinate and review change order proposals, ensuring proper pricing and timely submission.
* Negotiate early release of retention and ensure accurate submission of record drawings and O&M manuals.
* Participate in estimator meetings and provide input for labor resource reports and pre-qualification presentations.
Essential Skills
* 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
* 2 years of experience in Mission Critical Data Center construction.
* Electrical construction experience, preferably with an electrical contractor.
* Proficiency in construction management and electrical engineering.
* Excellent management, human relations, and financial analytical skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent field experience and education.
* Completion of a five-year electrical apprentice program.
* Experience as an electrical apprentice, journeyman, project foreman/general foreman, or mentorship role.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite at a data center in the West Valley, with hours from Monday through Friday. The main office is located in Mesa, AZ. A company vehicle or allowance and a company phone or allowance are provided. This is a salaried position reporting to a Senior Project Manager. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
