About the Math Trail: The Math Trail is an exciting, interactive event that brings math to life in the real world! Participants solve fun, hands-on math challenges at various local "trail stops" set up at vendor markets, farmers markets, and community events throughout Florida. Each stop features a different math activity that encourages problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork, making math engaging and enjoyable for all ages.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to oversee the planning, logistics, and execution of the Math Trail event series in Florida. This individual will be the brain behind the scenes, ensuring smooth event operations, coordinating with vendors, organizing event materials, and managing event timelines. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Coordination:

• Oversee the detailed planning of the Math Trail events, including developing event timelines, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring all event components are organized.
• Work with marketing and design teams to ensure event branding, signage, and materials align with the Just Focus Online Learning vision.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Reach out to potential vendors and local businesses to participate in the Math Trail, developing strong relationships with community partners.
• Negotiate event logistics with vendors, ensuring the event meets all requirements and is set up according to schedule.

Logistics Management:

• Organize travel logistics, event supplies, and materials for each event, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day of the event.
• Oversee the staffing and support team for event days and ensure each team member knows their role and responsibilities.

Tracking and Reporting:

• Keep track of event progress, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Report on event success, making suggestions for improvements and future growth.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in event planning and coordination.
• Passionate about education and making math engaging for all ages.
• Comfortable with some travel throughout Florida.
• Preferred: Experience working with vendors, managing community-based events, or handling logistics for public events.

Additional Information:

• Location: Remote position with the possibility of travel (travel within Florida as needed)
• Schedule: Flexible, 5-7 hours per week leading up to events, with increased hours during event weeks.
• Compensation: $20/hr - $30/hr for up to 5-10 hours per week, based on your availability.
• Event Timeline: The Math Trail events will take place at vendor markets, farmers markets, and community events throughout Florida, premiering in May.
