Job Summary
The position of Project Manager will provide civil and telecommunications engineering services. A Project Manager will coordinate utility conflicts on roadway projects while working with Departments of Transportation, municipalities, counties, and other project sponsors to avoid relocating existing utilities employing innovative conflict mitigation and alternative design techniques.
Job Responsibilities (Including, But Not Limited To)
Manage and oversee all engineering and construction aspects of a project to ensure completion on time and within budget.
Reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Supervises all staff necessary to complete projects.
Prepare reports for upper management.
Assist leadership and staff as a technical specialist.
Represents the company in communication and meetings pertaining to a broad spectrum of engineering assignments.
Use advanced techniques in the modification or extension of practices within civil/telecommunications engineering.
Managed projects profit and loss.
Overseeing QC of managed projects.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
General
Bachelor's degree in engineering or Equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Subject to pre-employment drug test and MVR.
Full understanding of Civil/Telecommunications design and construction practices to apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices.
Ability to manage a copious number of projects and capably prioritize them based on deadlines and importance.
Possess advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to favorably interact with subordinates, peers, leadership, and clients.
Self-motivated with superior time management.
Must be able to meet physical demands of the position.
Technical
State and DOT utility accommodation rules and design standards
AASHTO Roadside Design Guide
AASHTO Geometric Design of Highways and Streets
AutoCAD or MicroStation
Right-of-Way and easements
Storm drain, waterline, and sewer design
Proficient in the use of Microsoft® Office programs.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
2-8 years telecommunications experience or engineering or project management experience.
Sitetracker experience recommended.
Bluebeam experience recommended.
Masters’ degree or equivalent.
State professional engineering license.
