Job Title: Commercial Project Manager - Education, Healthcare & Athletic Facilities

Reports To: Director of Construction / Senior Project Executive

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and driven Commercial Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a construction professional with experience managing complex commercial projects-specifically K-12 schools, higher education facilities, healthcare developments, and athletic or aquatic centers. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leadership, collaboration, and successful project delivery within occupied and schedule-sensitive environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage project budget, schedule, subcontractor coordination, and quality control
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and public agencies
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and reports
• Ensure safety compliance across all job sites in coordination with the field team
• Facilitate internal and external project meetings to track progress and resolve issues
• Mentor project engineers and assistant PMs, fostering a strong team dynamic
• Coordinate with field superintendents to ensure effective scheduling and trade sequencing
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
• Strong portfolio of successfully delivered public or private sector projects in K-12, higher education, healthcare, or athletic/aquatic facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project/Primavera P6, and MS Office Suite
• Deep understanding of construction means and methods, local building codes, and DSA/OSHPD compliance (if applicable)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices
• Previous experience with CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, and/or Lease-Leaseback delivery methods
• Familiarity with local public contracting requirements, prevailing wage, PLA/CCPLA compliance
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus
