We are seeking a results-oriented and highly organized Project Manager with experience in transportation logistics to lead complex, cross-functional projects that improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This individual will manage the entire project lifecycle—from planning and stakeholder engagement to execution and post-implementation review—ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and business-savvy, with the ability to work across internal departments and directly with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, resources, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
Lead the execution of initiatives including system integrations, transportation optimization, new customer implementations, and business process improvements.
Coordinate across internal departments (IT, Operations, Product Management, Commercial, Finance, QA) to drive deliverables and resolve issues.
Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders including customers, technology vendors, and logistics partners.
Facilitate customer onboarding, configuration planning, testing support, and transition to steady-state operations.
Apply Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate to project type and scope.
Conduct regular project status meetings, milestone reviews, and executive-level briefings on progress and risks.
Ensure adherence to project governance standards, documentation requirements, and change control processes.
Manage budgets, timelines, KPIs, and quality outcomes using tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and driving process enhancements post-implementation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, IT, or 3–6 years of project management experience, ideally within transportation or logistics operations.
Experience managing technology implementations, operational initiatives, new business implementations or enterprise process improvements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, project management platforms (JIRA, MS Project), and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Strong understanding of logistics workflows, transportation modes (LTL, FTL, intermodal), and warehouse operations.
Exceptional communication skills—able to tailor messaging for executives, business users, and technical audiences alike.
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts, and driving accountability across matrixed environments.
Ability to travel up to 25% for customer visits, go-live support, and stakeholder workshops.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM certification.
Experience in transportation sectors such as freight forwarding, warehousing, LTL/FTL, or last-mile delivery.
