Summary

Job Title: Project Manager Job Description The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing actions to acquire and execute business projects, either competitively or non-competitively. The Project Manager integrates all functions and activities necessary to meet client or customer requirements and ensures quality standards are met. Responsibilities * Manage the execution of projects, ensuring technical baseline and quality requirements are met. * Direct project team personnel, manage costs and schedules, and ensure contract compliance. * Serve as the interface with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. * Participate in project initiation activities, including plan and budget preparation. * Lead the project team in executing the project as planned and budgeted. * Oversee project closeout activities, including collecting lessons learned. * Manage cross-functional teams responsible for delivering high-quality project outputs on time and within budget. * Ensure customer and supplier involvement throughout the project's duration. * Listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns, ensuring project execution aligns with these requirements. Essential Skills * Minimum of 2-6 years of project management experience, preferably within utility, electrical distribution, or infrastructure sectors. * Demonstrated experience with field execution or construction oversight in utility environments. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project tracking tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet. * Working knowledge of electric distribution systems and related construction practices. * PMP, CAPM, or relevant project management certifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications * OSHA 30 or utility safety certifications (e.g., HAZWOPER, CPR/AED) preferred. * Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites as needed. * Strong communication and customer-facing experience, especially coordinating with utility clients and contractors. * Proven leadership and team supervision in field or project settings. * Ability to manage project schedules, track deliverables, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. * Familiarity with regional utility clients (e.g., DTE, Consumers Energy) considered a bonus. Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment, with three days per week at the client office location and telework for the remaining two days. The role requires candidates to be based in or near Detroit, Michigan, with opportunities for upward mobility and potential relocation to support projects in other states. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
