BITCO Corporation is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Home Office team in Davenport, IA. BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, forest products, and oil & gas. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Position Summary
As part of the Information Technology team, this position ensures the coordination and completion of projects on time within the budget and within the scope. This role will oversee all aspects of projects including set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. The Project Manager will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives
Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards and are delivered on time, within scope and budget
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques; report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders; establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Use and continually develop leadership skills, attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
2-4 years project management experience or related area
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
