About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead small to medium-scale projects for our client, Bühler — a global leader in industrial solutions. This position involves managing the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from design through to customer handover, with a strong emphasis on quality, timelines, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently lead small to medium-scale projects across all phases.
Coordinate project activities including design sessions, reviews, and meetings.
Manage scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and technical approvals.
Support senior project managers on complex, large-scale projects.
Oversee engineering deliverables, component procurement, and supplier communication.
Provide status reports and ensure project milestones are met.
Supervise readiness for assembly, testing, and commissioning.
Resolve project deviations and manage change processes effectively.
Create design drafts and develop complex plant layouts.
Contribute to both basic and detailed engineering.
Offer support to sales teams with technical documentation.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning tools.
Familiarity with CAD, PDM, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Solid understanding of structured project management methodologies.
Excellent coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to interpret contract terms with guidance.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel internationally on short notice.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (with project execution training),
OR
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of plant design experience and formal project management training.
Business-level fluency in English.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years in plant layout or mechanical systems design.
Successful completion of at least two small-scale engineering projects.
