POSITION OVERVIEW
The Client Analyst plays a vital supporting role on large-scale, high-profile sports and entertainment design projects. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role ensures that communication, decisions, and data flow clearly between client stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners. Acting as both a project steward and detail-keeper, the Client Analyst distills complex information, captures key decisions, and drives follow-ups with clarity and confidence. This position requires sharp spatial awareness, meticulous communication and organizational skills, and a proactive mindset. The Design Director acts as a liaison between Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Branding, Sales, Food + Beverage, and Client Project Teams. As the right hand to the Design Director, the Client Analyst ensures readiness for all meetings and engagements—anticipating needs and ensuring no detail goes unnoticed. This role is both client facing and team-facing, working closely with external stakeholders and large internal project teams to ensure alignment and clarity throughout all phases of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education - Bachelor or Master’s in Architecture, Real Estate Development, Construction Management, Interior Architecture, Interior Design or other related field of study is preferred.
- Experience - 5-10 years in a development or design-related role with experience supporting large, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Software Proficiency - Experience with Microsoft Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Bluebeam and a working understanding of reading design drawings (Revit preferred).
- Industry Knowledge - Experience in hospitality or sports/entertainment design projects is strongly preferred. Specific Skills: Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to guide clients and cross-disciplinary teams effectively throughout complex project lifecycles.
- Core Competencies - Active listening and strong note-taking, high emotional intelligence and executive presence, organizational excellence and detail-orientation, proactive problem-solving and clear follow-through, familiarity with architecture and interior design concepts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Design Director Across Projects: Serve as a critical point of support to the Design Director across multiple workstreams, ensuring clear organization, preparation, and follow-through on project decisions.
- Meeting Preparedness & Presence: Review agendas and project documentation ahead of meetings. Provide concise briefings, take structured notes in real time, and distinguish between action items, tracked issues, and critical decisions. Ensure the Design Director is fully prepared for any questions that arise. There should be no surprises.
- Post-Meeting Execution: Deliver timely, well-organized summaries and action plans to all relevant stakeholders. Track open items and deadlines. Ensure accountability, flag and communicate road blocks, and maintain momentum.
- Project Coordination & Documentation: Maintain and update timelines, organize feedback and design documentation, track approvals, and manage version control. Stay aligned with consultants and team leads to achieve fluid project execution. Ensure decisions flow through, and into, proper channels.
- Data Management & Information Recall: Track, digest, and recall a high volume of project information—supporting the Design Director in making informed decisions with accuracy and foresight.
- Client & Team Communication: Exude warmth, poise, and competence in all external communications. Help foster confidence in our process and ensure stakeholder interactions reflect the high-touch service of Mathias Collective.
- Strategic Anticipation: Think two steps ahead. Identify gaps in information or approvals before they become delays. Stay informed on relevant industry trends to support the work with fresh insight.

WORK SCHEDULE AND EXPECTATIONS
Mathias Collective is located at 1005 17th Ave South, Suite 650 in Nashville, Tennessee. Office hours are 9a – 4p Monday through Friday. We set quarterly and annual billable targets per position that you will be expected to meet, which will require work outside of office hours. When and where you complete this work will be largely at your discretion.
