Job Summary:

Coordinate and oversee people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide management of multiple construction and design contracts of various sizes
• Oversee the inspection activities and personnel to review and evaluate contractors’ compliance on various construction and design project plans and specifications
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Review preliminary plans and evaluate future plans for construction
• Review contractor submittals
• Resolve construction and design issues
• Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and various project meetings
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Prepare and review various reports and records
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Serve as liaison between client/owner personnel and contractors, consultants or testing laboratories
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Report and escalate to management as needed
  
  
  

Skills and Requirements

• Considerable knowledge of design or construction is required.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently
• Pro-active and takes initiative
• P.E. license preferred

Education

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a closely related field based on the responsibilities of the position.
  
  
  

Experience

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in construction, construction inspection, design or a closely related field is required
