Brief Description
Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead projects within our insurance business. You will be responsible for applying proven project and Agile delivery methods to ensure smooth execution.
This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between business and technical stakeholders, and delivering innovative solutions on time that meet business goals and customer needs.
You Will
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects within the insurance domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives, adherence to Agile principles, project timelines, and quality standards
- Coordinate resources, including project team members, vendors, and external consultants, to optimise productivity and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
- Champion tried and tested delivery methodologies (including Scrum, Kanban, etc.) across project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Initiate and embed operational delivery for teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework, ceremonies, and best practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder the progress of delivery teams, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks to project delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and priorities
- Collaborate with testing teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements within the insurance sector
- Drive initiatives with delivery teams to enhance delivery processes and performance
- Define and track project metrics and KPIs, providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders
Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Solid understanding of technology delivery processes, including software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, and release management
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in Agile software development environments, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry in client facing roles
- Strong understanding of delivery methodologies (including Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and experience leading transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated experience with managing multiple changes, priorities and projects
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation
