The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing client projects from initiation to closure, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with client objectives. The role involves managing resources, mitigating risks, and facilitating communication between clients and internal teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Initiation:
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, including milestones, tasks, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Conduct project kickoff meetings to align stakeholders on goals and expectations.
Resource and Task Management:
Coordinate with internal teams, including Product Development, Customer Success, and Support, to ensure adequate resource allocation.
Monitor resource utilization and adjust assignments to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines.
Track task progress to ensure timely completion and address potential delays.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to address them proactively.
Resolve project issues promptly, escalating critical concerns to senior management as needed.
Maintain a risk log to document risks, resolutions, and outcomes.
Client Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and progress reports.
Facilitate milestone reviews with clients to ensure alignment and address concerns.
Manage scope changes by obtaining client approval and updating project plans accordingly.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Monitor project performance against KPIs, such as on-time delivery and client satisfaction.
Generate detailed project status reports for internal and client review.
Conduct post-project evaluations to analyze outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Project Closure and Handover:
Ensure all deliverables are completed, tested, and approved by the client.
Prepare a project closure report summarizing outcomes, lessons learned, and client feedback.
Facilitate a smooth handover to Customer Success and Support for ongoing client management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in technology or SaaS environments.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships effectively.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
PMP, PRINCE2, or a similar certification is a plus.
