Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee cabling and security projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage resources effectively and foster positive relationships with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of required materials; ensure timely ordering and availability for each project.
• Collaborate with operations management to assign technicians with the appropriate skill sets to projects.
• Work closely with customers to finalize project requirements, including floor plan markups and equipment placement before project commencement.
• Organize and lead project meetings, including kick-off sessions, regular status updates, and post-mortem reviews.
• Monitor ongoing project progress, proactively identifying roadblocks and engaging stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Keep track of open punch list items, ensuring timely resolution and project completion.
• Identify scope changes and prepare change orders for customer approval.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and professional communication.
• Provide regular project status reports and metrics to management and stakeholders as requested.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant parties.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial objectives are met.
• Oversee project billing processes, including progress invoicing and final billing upon project completion.
• Ensure all work adheres to company standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members follow established safety protocols.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Identify training and development needs to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in IT, data cabling, security, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of cabling infrastructure, security systems, and installation processes a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and floor plans.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
