Role Description
· Be able to pick up and deliver projects that are already in progress and align to a larger roadmap and strategy
· Be able to quickly pick up and understand complex systems and practices.
· Be able to collaborate with other project managers, technology team leads and stakeholders to ensure that inter-dependencies across projects are managed
· Be pragmatic in their approach to project management and align to how projects are managed within IDS (adopt to methodologies already in place).
· Be a certified project manager (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile etc.) or have experience in senior project management.
· Understand Design Thinking and Human Centred Design and be able to demonstrate how its application is important to ensuring the Digital Experience is optimised for customers.
· Have experience in building and implementing project management strategy and plans at the program level.
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Be able to manage multiple projects and initiatives and priorities across stakeholder groups.
· Be aligned with and demonstrate the University’s and IDS’ values and behaviours (see below)
The scope of the role will include:
· We are seeking a Project Manager who has experience either working in the education space of higher education, or who has comprehensive experience managing cyber and critical infrastructure projects.
· The Education role will deliver on the following project strategies to support the implementation of new strategic systems and system changes to the university including:
o CourseLoop (curriculum) system changes
o TechOne (student management system) data changes and a feasibility study
o The implementation of the system that will deliver the Commonwealth’s Practical Placement Payment solution design and approvals
o The enterprise roll-out of a new student support application and the decommission of an existing tool
o Any other education technology initiatives as they arise
· The Cyber/Infrastructure role will support:
· Broad cyber security operations and project delivery
· Align to a year-on-year delivery roadmap
· Have experience in IT critical infrastructure
· Identifying and managing dependencies across the technology streams and linking to the business/change stream.
· Day to day management of stream tasks across the integration and architecture space.
· Working closely with technical leads within the project to manage resourcing, timeframes, and deliverables.
· Conduct and present key artefacts to program and business sponsors and other key program staff.
· Other tasks as defined by project sponsor.
Senior Project Managers must use Client’ tools, preferred platforms and adhere to Client’ capability hub frameworks, principles etc.
Additional requirements for this candidate may include:
· Strong and proven experience in delivering projects and programs across a variety of IT platforms and systems.
· Experience and/or working in a complex educational environment.
· Experience in working at Client University.
