Job Description
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to help manage network infrastructure installation projects across Los Angeles Unified School District. There are about 750 schools within the district that require upgrades across 7 core components: LAN, WLAN, Fiber Optic Cabling, VoIP, Public Address Systems, Camera Systems, and Physical Intrusion Systems. The LAN platforms that are leveraged across these components include HP/Aruba, Alcatel and Cisco. The goal of these projects is to upgrade outdated technology. This project manager will be assisting in project scheduling, managing project deliverables and requirements, and reporting and tracking. The projects will consist of all phases of upgrade/construction activities including but not limited to;: Design, Installation/Configuration Quality Assurance and Final Closeout. They will be responsible for managing individual projects within the program that can range in size from a few thousand dollars to several hundreds of thousands of dollars each. They will be traveling to school sites about 20% of the time but must be flexible if this percentage increases. This project manager must be flexible, maintain a growth mindset, and be able to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. Responsibilities:
Engage with project teams, departments, and IT staff, leading the implementation of in-scope Services for the LAUSD networking projects.
Manages the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to system launch and support. These Resources will have at least one (1+) years of experience.
Focus on project assignments and successful technical delivery, providing skilled solutions for in- scope equipment and network launches and support ensuring adherence to project schedules and deliverables.
Provide project technical status updates to LAUSD on assigned projects and processes overall.
Engage in and retain knowledge transfer regarding LAUSDs tools and technologies, acceptable usage, and interaction handling procedures as required.
Owns assigned projects and tasks from beginning to end, following procedures and policies and maintaining launch best practices.

Skills and Requirements
-3+ years of project management experience working with the several components of technology (LAN, WLAN, VoIP, Camera Systems, and Physical Intrusion systems) including working in a campus like environment
3 years of project management including tasks such as project scheduling, managing project deliverables and requirements, reporting and tracking, risk management, and documentation
Must have experience managing the installation of these specific low voltage systems
Must be a flexible, adaptable, and positive force in any circumstance
Must be experienced with cross-collaboration with other PMs, stakeholders, and contract resources
Experience leveraging SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, and Adobe Large K-12 School District, College or University and or Government Experience null
