JOB SUMMARY 

 

The Project Manager is responsible for the profitable execution and delivery of Installation services in a specific geography through project planning, material and equipment procurement, ongoing oversight of the schedule, and by interfacing with stakeholders on a regular basis.  

CoolSys Energy Solutions (CES) is now seeking a Project Manager to oversee energy solutions projects.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Project/Job Responsibilities:  

• Coordinates sand plans Installation projects: 

• Oversees procurement of materials, permits, supplies. 

• Orchestrates schedule. 

• Maintains communication with all stakeholders. 

• Forecasts manpower requirements. 

• Reports on job status and job performance. 

• Ensures costs are accurately forecasted.   

• Oversees Change Orders. 

• Ensures documentation is complete. 

• Develops and maintains productive relationships with customers, GCs and subcontractor. 

• Troubleshoots and resolves any issues in a timely fashion. 

• Ensures use of PPE and the application of safe behaviors, including driving. 

 

Qualifications:

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

 

Business/Project Management: 

• High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school. College degree is a plus. 

• 5 + years formal project management experience in commercial building construction, refrigeration, HVAC or a related industry/trade. PMP preferred. 

• Strong business acumen and project management skills, including knowledge of automated project management tools, financial reports and general knowledge of accounting principles.  

• Ability to manage multiple projects, set and balance competing priorities with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. 

• Strong analytical capability and the ability to solve complex business problems. 

• Excellent verbal/nonverbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate timely, clearly, and concisely. 

• Outstanding relationship building skills, including the ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns, and forge strong working relationships with senior level customer representatives and General Contractors. 

• Demonstrated track record of accurate project estimating, labor forecasting and change control. 

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents. 

• Ability to use computer tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, Project Planning Software (Projectmates), etc. 

• Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance. 

• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.  

 

People Management: 

• Ability to manage time, delegate assignments and follow through to ensure good results. 

• Excellent verbal/nonverbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Work Environment: 

This job operates in a well-lit and climate controlled professional office environment with minimal physical hazards and noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is also required to occasionally visit job sites in convenience stores, grocery stores, food service and/or construction environment with possibly higher hazards and noise levels. The position is occasionally works at heights from ladders and/or Scissor lifts, near/with refrigeration/HVAC equipment that can expose employee to extreme cold from refrigerant and high heat from brazing operations, and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. These conditions require employee to use the correct PPE and safe work practices. 

 

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, drive, and use hands and fingers. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stand for long periods, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
