Job Description Our client, a company specializing in the construction industry, is seeking a Project Manager / Civil Engineer to coordinate and manage construction projects. This role involves site coordination, preparation of work programs, supervision of artisans, and procurement of materials while ensuring the projects meet the required quality, safety, and budget standards.
Location: Primarily in Lagos, but project locations may be in other states
Key Responsibilities:
Site Coordination: Manage day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring efficient execution of construction activities.
Work Program Preparation: Develop and implement detailed work schedules for each project phase.
Supervision of Artisans: Supervise and coordinate artisans and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
Procurement of Materials: Oversee the procurement of materials needed for construction projects.
Requirements *Education*: HND, BSc, or MSc in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction and project management.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage construction projects using relevant software tools.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred but not mandatory.
Flexibility to work in different project locations, primarily in Lagos, with potential for assignments in other states.
