Future Technologies Inc. (FTI) is in search of a Project Lead to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.

The Project Lead will provide project oversight and leadership to manage a technical team in support of the customer’s mission. This will consist of installation, operation and maintain complex M&S computer systems within a technical systems environment used for testing and training for the Naval combat systems to include AEGIS, SSDS, USCG, FFG and LCS. The Project Lead requires experience in coordinating large scale engineering and integration of M&S projects. This experience is to include the coordination of System Engineering, Integration and Testing, Technical Support, Configuration Management and system deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Ability to perform job estimation activities
• Oversee simulation systems technical support group in support of Simulation Systems
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Develop Reports and Presentation
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks

*Shift work and weekends are possible*

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 15 years relevant work experience
• Educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers
• Requires a DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the AEGIS combat system
