Job Title: Project Finance Analyst

Location: Washington DC - Baltimore

Client Overview:

Top-tier commercial solar developer and operator, with a market-leading portfolio of community and distributed generation solar projects across the United States. The company is now seeking a driven and analytical Project Finance Analyst to support the structuring and execution of renewable energy investments across solar and energy storage portfolios.

Responsibilities:

• Build, update, and maintain complex financial models (e.g., partnership flip, lease pass-through, joint venture structures).
• Support transaction execution and financial closings for distributed solar and energy storage projects.
• Assist in structuring sponsor equity, tax equity, and debt transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (development, construction, legal, operations, origination) to integrate key financing assumptions into project workflows.
• Track and update financial assumptions based on evolving project and market conditions.
• Attend client meetings and investor presentations as needed.
• Work closely with senior finance leadership to support negotiations and closing of project-level financing agreements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1–2 years of professional experience in finance, project development, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling (Excel-based).
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work across departments and explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Passion for the renewable energy sector and a desire to build a long-term career in clean energy.
