Estimator – Mechanical Construction

We're seeking a Mechanical Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values collaboration, accuracy, and relationship-building. In this role, you'll prepare detailed cost estimates, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and help deliver successful projects across sectors like life sciences, healthcare, and higher education.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed labor, material, and equipment takeoffs
• Develop accurate cost estimates for mechanical construction projects
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
• Review drawings and specs to understand project scope
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor pricing
• Maintain organized bid documentation
• Communicate project scope and estimate details during handoffs
• Identify project risks and opportunities

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical, plumbing, or fire protection estimating
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent follow-through
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; estimating software experience (e.g., Autobid, BidTracer) is a plus
• Self-starter with a commitment to learning and safety
