Job Title: Project Estimator

Job Type: Direct Hire

Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA

Salary Range: 80,000-110,000 with potential negotiation based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Interview Process: 1st-Phone Interview, 2nd- Final Onsite Interview

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope
• Perform site visits to evaluate conditions and gather information for estimates
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing and alignment with project goals
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
• Submit formal bid proposals and support negotiations with clients
• Stay current on pricing trends, material costs, and building codes
• Track and manage budgets to ensure project alignment with estimates
• Review contracts, change orders, and work orders for pricing impacts

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating preferred, especially in carports, rooftops, or similar scopes (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and estimating software
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software a plus
• Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards
• Degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or related field is a plus
