We're seeking an experienced Estimator with a proven track record in bridge and foundation construction. This role requires meticulous attention to detail in preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates. As a key team member, you'll coordinate closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure each bid aligns with project scope, meets strict deadlines, and reflects competitive pricing.
Key responsibilities include preparing cost analyses, managing vendor pricing, and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors. Ideal candidates bring over 10 years of experience, proficiency in reading designs and plans, and knowledge of estimating software, particularly HeavyBid. Responsibilities
· Review and evaluate cost estimates.
· Communicate with team members regarding new and current projects.
· Prepare estimates and bid documentation.
· Ensure timely completion of estimates.
· Understand scope of work to bid.
· Manage bid pricing from all vendors.
· Prepare cost analysis.
· Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
· Post-bid reviews and turnover Packages to Project Managers, Procurement, Operations
Skills & Experience
· 10+ years’ experience in construction industry (at least 5 of those in an estimating capacity).
· Able to read designs & plans to develop cost estimates.
· Have an understanding of bridge and foundation construction practices.
· HeavyBid software experience is an asset.
· Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
· Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
· Proven problem-solving skills.
· Able to work in a team environment.
