Summary

We are representing a growing Environmental Services company looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our This role will focus on providing precise and competitive proposals for a variety of technical and remediation projects, including civil, industrial, and field services. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project estimation, construction planning, and environmental cleanup, ensuring accurate cost, schedule, and scope projections.


Key Responsibilities:

· Develop thorough and competitive estimates for a wide range of complex projects, including remediation, civil works, and industrial services.

· Prepare and submit detailed construction reports such as work plans, submittals, and health & safety plans.

· Assemble professional and high-quality bid packages for potential projects.

· Read and interpret civil and construction drawings to conduct accurate estimation take-offs, utilizing industry-standard tools for volume calculations.

· Accurately calculate final quantities for earthworks, backfill, tank volumes, schedules, and trench/pipe lengths.

· Participate in site walks and bid meetings, interpreting technical bid documents and contract language.

· Assess and understand the financial impact of projects, including profit and loss, margins, and budgeting considerations.

· Demonstrate strong working knowledge of environmental cleanup methods, excavation processes, and construction-related activities such as UST/AST removal and decommissioning.

· Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, DOT, DEP, EPA).

· Manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, negotiating pricing and ensuring that project requirements are met.

· Establish and maintain strong client relationships, communicating effectively with company management and ownership during project turnover and organizational meetings.


Qualifications:

· Proven experience in estimating for complex construction and remediation projects.

· Familiarity with environmental cleanup practices and construction-related activities.

· Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, DEP, and EPA regulations.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.

· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

· Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Ability to travel and attend on-site inspections and bid walks as needed.
