SUMMARY: The Project Engineering Manager will design manufacturing and distribution center layouts and perform facility master planning. The engineering functions may include coaching and leading team members/groups to achieve greater efficiency and productivity to meet operational and financial goals, help develop, train and sustain a positive, high energy workforce in a continuous improvementenv ironment, and meet customer/ operations schedules, specifications and quality requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Devise techniques for maximizing the output of work areas/facilities.
Provide support for employees/teams to accomplish assigned tasks.
Ensure standard work/best practices are documented and in place.
Collaborate with support personnel to drive Lean methodology to include reducing cycle/flow times, improve process capabilities and reduce waste.
Develop and implement tools for enabling a smooth daily operation of all processes.
Work closely with other teams to achieve optimal operational efficiency.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required
o 12+ years of experience in food manufacturing and regulatory environment OR Bachelor’s
Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Design or Electrical Engineering with 8 years of
experience in food manufacturing and regulatory environment
o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
o Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Computer Aided Design
(CAD)/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) programs
Preferred
o Professional Engineer certification
