We're looking for a Project Design Engineer to join an innovative R&D team working on the next generation of high-speed capsule production machinery. This role is a unique blend of analytical problem solving and hands-on design—perfect for engineers who love turning ideas into real, working machines.

We’re especially interested in profiles with a strong mechanical or mechatronic background, paired with curiosity for data-driven design and Machine Learning. Python is in your toolbox, and you’re not afraid to use it for analysis, modeling, or automation.

🧩 What You’ll Work On:

• Developing and analyzing mechanical concepts for dynamic, high-speed machines
• Designing, executing, and improving test setups to validate your ideas
• Applying analytical thinking to solve complex engineering problems
• Using tools like Python, Excel, LabVIEW, and possibly ML models for optimization
• Supporting prototype development and transferring designs to industrial teams
• Contributing to planning, costing, and technical coordination across projects
• Taking ownership when needed, collaborating when it counts

✅ Your Background:

• Master’s (or PhD) in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• ~4 years’ experience in engineering or R&D roles (flexible depending on fit)
• Practical experience with machinery or system design
• Strong analytical approach with an interest in simulation or data analysis
• Proficiency in Python (for automation, modeling, or ML is a big plus)
• Experience with test rigs, experimental design, and result interpretation
• Dutch is a plus; English-only profiles also considered
• Nice-to-have: PLC basics, AI/ML exposure, or control systems experience
