INVISTA is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Rozenburg team, primarily focusing on construction management. In this role, you will be a key contributor in developing construction execution plans, conducting job walkdowns, ensuring jobsite safety, and maintaining environmental stewardship. You will coordinate contractors, uphold the integrity of installations and controls, and support the estimating group with valuable return data to enhance the overall process. Additionally, when construction activities are not occurring, you will plan and lead small projects, ensuring they are executed within defined cost and schedule goals. This position requires collaboration across all crafts, project managers, operations, and other team members to drive project execution and continuous improvement.

Our Team

The Technology team is accountable for projects (planning, design, execution and governance), technology development, process safety, reliability and quality. The team is driving continuous improvements as well as a transformational change of the way we work. We are seeking an individual who can manage the construction phase of multiple projects in a timely and safe manner, anticipate and challenge situations, solve problems, proactively remove roadblocks, and make sound recommendations.

What You Will Do

Project Planning and Management:

  • Review project deliverables to ensure documentation meets construction requirements.
  • Develop detailed project execution plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for both construction and small projects.
  • Oversee the entire process from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.


Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Lead and manage the construction team, including (sub)contractors, and coordinate with personnel from engineering, QA, operations, EHS, and other departments.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders.


Quality Control, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Set expectations for personal and process safety excellence for contractors and INVISTA personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ensure all activities comply with quality standards and safety regulations.


Problem Solving and Decision Making:

  • Identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Make informed decisions to address challenges and optimize outcomes.


Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs and reports.
  • Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns or changes.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience involving leading and coordinating construction projects in industrial settings (chemical industry)
  • Experience communicating with various levels of an organization (engineers, managers, senior leadership, constructors, operators)
  • VCA-VOL certification (or similar EHS certification)
  • Able to speak and write Dutch.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • 3+ years of construction management experience at manufacturing site or engineering contractor
  • Project management experience or training/certification
