Process Engineer for Land Development

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with the Indian River County Government, is seeking for a Project Engineer to review and process permits for site plans, subdivisions, and right-of-way construction projects. This professional role involves oversight of roadway and infrastructure construction projects under the general direction of the County Engineer.

Process Engineer Job Summary

• Permit Review: Conduct high-level engineering reviews of land development plans and permit applications, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.
• Guidance: Provide professional advice to developers and consultants on project development.
• Staff Direction: Supervise engineering inspections for various projects and manage staff in the field.
• Compliance Monitoring: Review construction plans for County Rights-of-Way and monitor site projects to ensure adherence to standards.
• Public Interaction: Respond to public inquiries and complaints, providing technical information as needed.
  
  

Process Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree: Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years in civil engineering-related work.
• Current Professional Engineer registration in Florida.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Desired certifications: FDOT Inspection, Construction Traffic Control, and NPDES training.
• Knowledge of infrastructure project management and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and prepare technical reports.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with the public and stakeholders.
