Essential Functions

• As-directed, supports new and existing equipment for repair, improvements, preventive maintenance, etc.; gather, clarify and file information to keep equipment files up-to-date
• Participates in vendor selection and purchasing; contractor selection and management; safety and environmental compliance impacting project and maintenance activities, etc.
• Supports plant utilities such as cooling towers, RO/DI, etc., on an as-needed-basis
• Perform other duties as required to ensure sustainable compliance and continuous improvement
  
  

Skills/ Requirements

Qualified applicants must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of related experience in the petrochemical or similar industry are required.
• Ability to interact well with all levels of the organization and maintain strong relationships with team members, peers and internal customers.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Direct experience and/or knowledge with rotating equipment such as:
• Pumps, agitators, turbines, compressors, etc.
• Electrical systems
• Piping systems and valves
• Neutralization and filtration systems
• Cooling towers/water treatment
• Process distribution control
• Reactor systems
