Job Title: Project Engineer OR Assembly Engineer
Job Description
Looking for a consultant for 6 months to assist with the building and fabricating of an inventory racking system. This is a modular tubing system called Creform, which can be used to erect material holding devices like jigs and fixtures and racking to hold extra products
Responsibilities
* Take existing materials (all currently unassembled) and come up with an assembly plan and vision
* Recommend catalog purchases of additional materials and supplies where necessary
* Use physical hand tools for assembly, cutting and fabricating where necessary
* Share creative solutions for access to inventory (i.e. an angled gravity-fed shelf that will slide products forward when one is taken out)
* Ensure racks hold large totes with their products stored inside
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience having built and assembled products
* Experience using hand and power tools
* Hands-on experience with assembly, cutting, bending, or fabricating
* Creative and vision for new ideas
* Previous manufacturing or industrial engineering experience preferred
Work Environment
This role is very hands-on in an extremely clean manufacturing environment. The recently remodeled facility includes a game room area. The work environment is designed to support a passion for the product and its direct effect on lives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to provide support for a project-related need and gain experience in this industry, with potential for redeployment in another field at the end of the contract assignment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $43.50/hr.
