With direction from the Project Mangers, the Project Engineer will help ensure projects schedules and submittals are properly documented, maintained and communicated. The Project Engineer will help with purchasing materials for projects and coordinating the logistics of delivery with the Superintendents.

The Company is a national solar-build firm that specializes in commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects across the United States. They deliver reliable solar arrays to their clients by striving to design and build the best solution for optimal production. This is a heavy traveling position with 5 weeks on site, 1 week home paid rotation.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Project Execution: Assist in managing construction projects involving solar, battery storage, microgrids, and other distributed energy systems, including design reviews and close-out documentation.
• Procurement & Cost Management: Help order materials, obtain quotes, place purchase orders, and support cost tracking and reporting for leadership reviews.
• Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinate material and equipment delivery with superintendents and help update project schedules and reports.
• Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Identify and qualify subcontractors/vendors, ensure contract compliance, and support communication for project execution.
• Field & Site Support: Maintain field reports, oversee labor productivity, and assist in ensuring safe, quality construction through collaboration with superintendents and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction management, or a combination of education and appropriate experience.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction
• Prefer an Electrical Background
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• A conceptual knowledge of Racking systems, Panels, Inverters, DC wiring, AC wiring, Interconnection, DAS, Battery’s, Gensets, Turbines, ATS, Switchgear, NEC, Rapid Shutdown will be beneficial.
