The Impact You’ll Make

We are seeking a Technical Instructor to support the Deposition Product Group (DPG) engineering's efforts towards Engineering Excellence. The primary objective of this role is to guide engineers rather than govern them, fostering a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in shaping a skilled workforce and driving innovation by delivering comprehensive training programs to support product development team members as they adopt new systems and ways of working.

What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for equipping employees with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles effectively and contribute to projects. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining quality learning experiences that drive measurable business outcomes and foster positive behavioral change.

  • Collaborate with experts and creators to improve training content such as presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and exercises.
  • Provide 1:1 support to employees transitioning to new PLM software.
  • Deliver relevant instruction through classroom, virtual training, workshops, hands-on sessions, and coaching.
  • Evaluate training programs using feedback and performance metrics, suggesting improvements.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, knowledge transfer, and growth.
  • Maintain training records and documentation, ensuring compliance.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with no experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dedication to continuous learning and helping others learn
  • Capability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries and leadership levels
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and presentation skills, along with strong training delivery and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories
  • Experience with learning management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and quick at learning to use new software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cornerstone Learning Management System.
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, SAP, and 3D CAD tools.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications.
  • Experience working in a complex product development environment.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
