Job Description
This is a full-time position for an in-office Project Drafting/Designer/Architect, located in Pasadena, CA. The project designer/architect will be responsible for overseeing and creating construction documents, design extension, architectural & finishes detailing, and be capable of interface with all STL & MEP consultants. Additional responsibilities include project management tasks and coordinating with team members to ensure projects comply with code requirements and client specifications. Must be proficient in AutoCAD. SketchUp ability is a bonus.
Responsibilities
· Design Extension
· AutoCAD drafting and SketchUp knowledge for web models
· Detailing Design
· Interface with clients, building officials, consultants, contractors, and material/product vendors.
· Submittals and permitting
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
· 3+ years of professional experience
· Professional licensure as an Architect or working towards licensure is a plus but NOT NECESSARY
· Proficiency in the following software applications: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office
· Competent Drafting skills
· Experience in project management: overseeing a project from start to finish and managing various projects through all phases of the design process. With competent knowledge of the construction document process and ability to complete design extensions and adjustments.
· General understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
· Strong attention to detail and organization skills
· Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contractors/consultants, and clients
