🔍 Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Project Design Director with a technical design background in roads, highways, and associated works such as bridges, tunnels, and drainage systems. The ideal candidate will lead and manage all design-related aspects of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and timely delivery.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design management of major infrastructure projects from concept to IFC stage
• Oversee and coordinate road, highway, bridge, tunnel, and drainage designs with internal teams and external consultants
• Provide technical leadership and ensure design compliance with applicable standards and client requirements
• Act as design lead within multidisciplinary teams, managing all technical interfaces
• Review and approve technical submissions, design reports, shop drawings, and calculations
• Drive value engineering initiatives, ensuring optimized and cost-effective design solutions
• Act as the client’s key point of contact on all design-related matters
• Support procurement and construction teams during tendering and execution phases
• Ensure smooth integration of design and construction activities and resolve design-related site issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in design and project management of major roads/highways/infrastructure projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Proven experience in leading design teams, either as Design Director or Project Director with design involvement
• Hands-on and detail-oriented approach to design coordination and resolution
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
