- MEP Coordination & Supervision: Oversee all MEP-related works (ACMV, BMS, air conditioning, surveillance systems) among trade contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Building Management System (BMS) & Surveillance Integration: Ensure BMS integration with other MEP systems and proper surveillance setup with the main contractor.
- Clash Detection & Resolution: Utilize Revit/Navisworks to identify and resolve clashes, ensuring seamless implementation in raised floors, ACMV systems, server rooms, and more.
- Construction Drawing Review: Verify and review MEP construction drawings for discrepancies.
- MEP Systems Design & Layout: Coordinate the design and integration of ACMV, air conditioning, BMS, and surveillance systems with raised-floor and data centre specifications.
- Lookahead Schedule Management: Prepare, manage, and review project schedules to prevent delays and mitigate risks.
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections and tests for ACMV, air conditioning, BMS, and surveillance systems per method statements and test plans.
- Documentation & Reporting: Manage RFIs, CVIs, and liaise with consultants, designers, and architects for seamless project execution.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee MEP subcontractors, including selection, negotiation, and coordination to meet project requirements.
- Compliance & Safety Standards: Ensure all MEP installations adhere to project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions and operational issues related to MEP installations.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and site teams on MEP best practices and coordination techniques.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelorâs degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field. (Experience in ACMV, data cabling, or electrical systems is an advantage.)
- Proven experience in MEP coordination for raised-floor, ACMV, BMS, air conditioning, surveillance systems, data centres, and server room projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software for clash detection and coordination.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction methods, and project management principles.
- Ability to provide AutoCAD sketches or detailed coordination drawings for design integration.
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling software for managing project milestones.
- Excellent coordination skills with main contractors and subcontractors, especially in surveillance and BMS integration.
