We’re looking for a training leader who knows project controls inside and out and is ready to pass that knowledge forward. As the Project Controls Training Manager, you’ll design and deliver immersive learning experiences that elevate the performance of our project management and field leadership teams. Your mission? Build technical excellence, boost consistency, and shape the next generation of operational leaders across our construction and industrial services portfolio.
This role is ideal for a seasoned project professional who wants to transition from executing projects to enabling teams—helping others deliver with greater confidence, accuracy, and discipline.
What You'll Do
- Develop hands-on training programs that blend technical instruction with practical field application in scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and change management.
- Facilitate engaging, instructor-led sessions across all project roles—APMs, PMs, PEs, and project controls professionals.
- Partner with regional operations leaders and SMEs to align training content with real-world project demands and evolving company standards.
- Champion a culture of learning and accountability, using performance data and feedback to refine content and delivery.
- Maintain and improve learning pathways that support professional growth and promote consistency across all projects.
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership on talent development, team readiness, and workforce capability-building.
Who You Are
- An experienced construction or industrial services professional with at least 5 years in project controls or project management.
- Passionate about mentoring others and transferring knowledge to drive stronger project outcomes.
- Well-versed in the full lifecycle of project execution—especially cost, schedule, and change controls.
- Comfortable building and delivering training across platforms, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
- Proficient in tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or equivalent project control systems.
- Organized, self-directed, and skilled at simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Certifications like PMP, CAPM, or CCP are a plus, but your ability to communicate and teach is what sets you apart.
Work Conditions
This role requires travel across regional job sites (up to 50%) and will involve time in both office and active construction environments. Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort in industrial settings are key.
