Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Scheduler to join our team in Vancouver who will play a key role in analysis and review of project schedules, generating reports, and presentations for client meetings.

This role sits within our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing monthly general contractor schedule reviews and reports, as well as creating and managing the master schedule to meet program needs and reporting requirements. You will also develop and update bi-weekly reports and analytics, while updating schedules, identifying risks, and creating accurate forecast schedules. Your responsibilities will include participating in project risk reviews, performing qualitative and quantitative schedule analyses, and developing, maintaining, and monitoring the risk register. You will identify scheduling issues, capture impacts and delays to schedules, and recommend mitigation or recovery schedules as needed. Additionally, you will attend meetings to advise clients on construction progress and any related cost implications. Developing potential recovery plans for time and cost will be a key aspect of your role, along with reviewing and analyzing construction claims, and providing opinions, advice, and reports on contractual entitlement and damage quantification for use in dispute resolution proceedings such as negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. You will also write and develop technical reports, charts, and graphs to support and present your analyses. Finally, you will determine reasonable schedule logic, durations, and constraints through interactive planning sessions with the project team.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools
  • Experience managing design and construction projects, including transportation and transit projects (e.g., Major Projects, P3s, APDs)
  • Strong understanding of engineering and construction work processes, activity sequencing, and Critical Path Analysis
  • Proficiency with RFIs, RFQ processes from the owner's perspective, and Earned Value progress tracking
  • Knowledge of advanced scheduling techniques such as Time Impact Analysis and Rolling Wave Scheduling
  • Experience in program management and basic familiarity with Microsoft Project
