Responsible for identifying new site opportunities for future stores, development and design of new stores, management, maintenance and refurbishment of existing stores, plus seismic remediation, refrigeration upgrades, energy efficiency and maintenance, the Foodies Property team are focussed on supporting members and the co-op to deliver for our customers every day.
Te Tūranga – About The Role
You will lead an internal team of Project Coordinators, Programme, Contract and Seismic Specialists to deliver new store and reinvestment projects and roll out initiatives. Working collaboratively and cross functionally, you’ll play a key role in delivering the strategic direction of the Property team.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Overseeing the appointment and management of external project managers
- Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Overseeing all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Reviewing the work progress across the FSNI development portfolio on a regular basis
- Leading and embedding high quality communications with internal and external stakeholders, including prepare regular internal and external reports pertaining to delivery status across the portfolio
- Approving terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences
- Analysing risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action
- Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

He Kōrero Mōu - About You
You’ll be a highly experienced Project & Construction Manager with a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership ability and stakeholder management. Experience in retail or commercial property environments would be highly advantageous.
You’ll Also Have
- Proficiency in MS Office software including MS Project, and have experience using SharePoint, or similar.
- Experience in strategic leadership and the ability to effectively maintain relationships and influence your immediate team, key stakeholders and the senior leadership team.
- Experience preparing and delivering reports on project status, risks, and milestones for various audiences.
- Excellent planning and communication skills – both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and effectively present to others.
