Who are we hiring?
The Sphere is looking for a looking for a Production Coordinator with experience scheduling, communicating and coordinating complex motion graphics & VFX projects for the Exosphere, Sphere’s outer LED structure. This role will be working alongside the creative development team and directly within the VFX team to support projects from initiation to final delivery of content. This role is also responsible for collaborating and liaising with cross-functional teams, including QC, IO, render, deliverables and pipeline departments. As the creative content hub for MSG Sphere projects, we strive for the best content creation, delivering content that has never been witnessed before on displays that have never been seen in this scale.
What will you do?
- Support the motion graphics & VFX department and act as logistical hub of information to other cross-functional departments
- Work closely with VFX Supervisor and Production Supervisor to support in bidding, resourcing and scheduling projects, keeping in mind the project scope, schedule, budget, stakeholder needs, etc
- Maintain and track projects from kickoff through final delivery
- In collaboration with supervisors and project leads, ensure that all content production progress and deliverables are within scope, and on track and schedule; proactively identify project risks and dependencies and communicate to supervisors and project leads; track change orders and schedule changes
- Submit QC requests and final venue deliverables requests to appropriate cross-functional departments
What do you need to succeed?
- 1-3 years experience in shortform production in a VFX, Motion Graphics, Design or Immersive Media facility with exposure to both 2D & 3D workflows and pipelines
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team
- Proficient user of production shot tracking tools, Shotgrid preferred
- Tireless attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to work autonomously while having a clear sense of when to seek counsel from supervisors
- A sense of urgency balanced with the ability to prioritize and remain calm
- Behavior consistent with MSG values

Hourly Pay Range
$40—$45 USD
