Position: Project Accountant

Location(s): Woodbridge, VA OR Sterling, VA

A large general contracting client of Insight Globals' is seeking a Project Accountant who will assist the Construction Project Manager(s) and Project Engineers with the project budget and expenses, by monitoring and tracking construction project costs and compiling high-dollar, monthly invoices to review and submit to the building owner/project client. Responsibilities and requirements below:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Compile monthly construction invoices to the project owner.
2. Process and track miscellaneous vendor expenditures.
3. Monitor project costs and budgets for accuracy and efficiency.
4. Attend monthly invoice meetings with the owner and architect.
5. Run project reports to support project team with accounting deadlines.
6. Assist Project Manager with miscellaneous job tasks.

Qualifications:

1. Associates (2-year) or Bachelors (4-year) degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Ideally 4+ years experience in construction accounting or related field.
3. Ability to learn and use CMiC construction/accounting software.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Word.
5. Comfortable working in jobsite trailer on an active construction site.
6. Ability to receive general instruction and apply it to detailed task requirements.
7. Aptitude for problem solving.
8. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
