Project Accountant – Construction | Sterling, VA

Compensation: $80K–$95K, depending on years of experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM | Fully On-site

Join a leading construction firm known for its innovation in the precast space. We’re seeking a detail-driven Project Accountant to own the financial tracking and reporting of high-impact projects from start to finish. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Purchasing, and the Precast departments to ensure financial accuracy, control project costs, and provide critical reporting to leadership

Key Responsibilitie

• s:Manage the full project accounting cycle, including project setup, budget entry, and change order
• s.Ensure project cost integrity by verifying AP postings, reconciling production entries, and processing inventory transfer
• s.Post expenses and back charges to project cost centers and handle write-offs with clarity and contro
• l.Coordinate with operational teams to troubleshoot and resolve project data discrepancie
• s.Maintain the Project Manager “Action Item” report and support timely month-end close for all project
• s.Prepare month-end financial reports for senior leadership with analysis of variances and commentar
• y.Generate and transfer revenue and cost accounting events to the general ledge
