A firm in Columbia, MD is looking for a Program Manager with a technical aptitude in RF

technologies to oversee the complete program life cycle of defense industry projects. The Program Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of RF-related defense programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience in program management and a solid understanding of RF technologies and their applications.


Key Responsibilities

• Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.

• Lead cross-functional teams to implement project plans, ensuring technical and operational requirements are met.

• Provide technical guidance on RF systems and ensure compliance with engineering standards.

• Monitor program performance against established metrics and KPIs.

• Identify and address issues or deviations from the project plan promptly.

• Continuously assess and mitigate risks throughout the program life cycle, focusing on technical and operational challenges related to RF systems.

• Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on program status, challenges, and milestones achieved.

• Conduct project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to identify best practices and areas for improvement.

• Ensure all contractual obligations are met and facilitate the transition of deliverables to the operational phase.


Qualifications:


• Top Secret/SCI Clearance required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred

• Experience in program or project management within the defense industry, specifically with RF systems.

• Technical knowledge of RF equipment, systems design, and performance evaluation.

• Proven track record of managing complex projects through all phases of the program life cycle.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and relevant technical software.

• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
