ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in the AtlasX Business Innovations Office cultural transformation and change management efforts at Space Systems Command (SSC). Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of project activities, ensuring alignment with the program's strategic transformation objectives and the successful delivery of project outcomes. This position requires a strong foundation in project management principles, experience in managing diverse teams, and a focus on tactical execution and delivery of change initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans. Coordinate and manage project activities to ensure timely and effective delivery of project milestones and deliverables. * Team Management and Task Coordination: Lead and manage project teams consisting of senior experts and domain practitioners. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor team performance to ensure project objectives are met. * Monitoring and Controlling: Implement project management processes to monitor project progress, identify and address issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Track project budgets and expenditures, and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs. * Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation and contingency plans as necessary. * Communication and Reporting: Prepare and provide regular project status reports to the Program Manager, highlighting progress, issues, and risks. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the project team and with relevant stakeholders. * PMP Compliance: Ensure that project management practices adhere to PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) standards and best practices. * Change Management: Facilitate and support the implementation of change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and cultural shifts. This may involve overseeing small-scale data analytics projects or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) as part of the broader transformation effort. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology). * 5+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects, preferably within a government or defense environment. * Experience in managing projects involving business process improvement and technology implementation is desirable. * Strong knowledge of project management methodologies. PMP certification is required. * Ability to develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources. Clearance Requirements: * US Citizenship required with an active Secret clearance Physical Requirements: * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% * Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. * Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations * Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations The projected compensation range for this position is $122,400.00-$190,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
