We are seeking a candidate with deep expertise in film-particularly in genre and independent cinema-to assist in the day-to-day implementation of linear and VOD strategy across multiple film-centric brands. This role requires a strong editorial vision and an in-depth understanding of Cineverse's key genres to strategically plan, curate, and optimize content.
The ideal candidate will effectively communicate content and brand strategies across multiple teams, ensuring alignment between channel performance and creative direction. They will also be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting operational issues, escalating concerns to the appropriate teams as needed. Additionally, this role involves tracking internal and external content performance, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and audience insights to drive informed programming decisions.
Essential Functions:
* Design, implement, and schedule multiple linear FAST channels and VOD platforms. This includes data entry.
* Collaborate with marketing to build effective programming stunts and collections to cultivate and grow audiences across our distribution footprint.
* Curate and write editorial copy in support of channels such as Fandor, Midnight Pulp and Screambox.
* Familiarity with major film festivals worldwide (e.g., Cannes, TIFF, Berlinale, Sundance) and their role in shaping the independent and genre film landscape.
* Track overall content mix, refresh rates, and identify future content needs and acquisitions across brands.
* Make data-driven decisions to continually improve performance across platforms.
* Collaborate with research department to identify high vs. low performing content to inform current strategy and future acquisitions.
* Produce and distribute programming reports as needed - churn reports, content analysis, rights tracking, etc.
* Consult with content operations/production to maintain accurate timelines for new content ingest.
* Manage data integrity across multiple tools and databases.
* Work on special projects as required.
* Provide support in updating shelving for DTC & HTML5 Apps when applicable for various brand entities.
Essential Qualifications/Competencies:
* Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
* Must know how to communicate effectively and positively across multiple departments
* Strong analytical thinker with ability to balance both qualitative and quantitative criteria in decision making. Familiarity with common entertainment reporting metrics and measurement practices.
* A deep, encyclopedic knowledge of cinema, both contemporary and classic, is a plus
* Strong understanding of entertainment business at large.
* Ability to work independently as well as follow standard operating procedures across portfolio.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software tools.
* Experience with Mediagenix/Wide Orbit or similar software a plus.
* Bachelor's degree required.
* Minimum 5 years experience in programming/content curation either in traditional linear television or OTT.
