Alutiiq Information Management, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opportunity for a Programmer II in San Diego, CA. The Programmer II will be onboard Naval Information Warfare Command Pacific (NIWC) to provide support to NIWC Pacific projects within the RESTORE Lab in collaboration with the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). This is an opportunity to be part of a Team that will develop technology for advanced human-machine maintenance concepts utilizing augmented reality as an interface that can be used within both shipboard and land-based systems.
* Excel in the 3D graphics pipeline for VR and AR projects.
* Have a deep understanding of the 3D modelling pipeline from concepts to game ready models. Including modelling, texturing, animation, VFX and lighting.
* Be a master in a 3D modelling application such as Maya, Blender, Zbrush, 3dsMax. Ability to create hard surface and organic models.
* Ability to create 1:1 textures, tiling textures and trim textures in Substance Painter/Designer, Adobe Suite.
* Assist in point cloud processing and integration.
* Ability to create and refine 3d models from photogrammetry.
* Help establish, maintain and update the 3D modelling pipeline for Unity 3D engine workflow.
* Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in research efforts with NPS and NWIC Pacific.
* Create and maintain documents associated with future and ongoing efforts. These documents include legacy and novel training manuals, training videos, meeting notes.
Payrate: $90,000 to $110,000 Annually
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* B.S. or equivalent training to equal or exceed four (4) years 3D modelling experience.
* Experience in 3D modelling software such as Maya, Blender, 3DsMax, Zbrush.
* Experience integrating models, textures, animations, lighting and VFX in Unity engine
* Ability to create textures using Substance Painter/Designer, Adobe suite. Familiar with baking high to low poly models and photogrammetry techniques.
* Familiar with point cloud processing and integration.
* U.S. Citizenship status required.
* Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or re-establish this level of clearance.
