Summary

The Job Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is looking for motivated Programmer Analyst II - Valued Based Programs* to design and develop advanced systems using the latest technology available. Programmer Analysts II assume primary project responsibility during all plashes of systems analysis, automated systems design, database design, and applications programming, and are the primary resource for evaluating and applying new technological developments to assigned projects. VALUE BASED PROGRAMS Value Based Programs (VBPs) reward public healthcare systems when high quality care is provided to patients. This is measured by several comprehensive quality metrics, audited by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and contracted Health Plans. At ARMC, VBPs are designed to drive continuous improvement in quality of care through comprehensive data analytics and clinical review. Incumbents assigned to VBPs are responsible for identifying, quantifying, and providing holistic analysis on ARMC's quality metrics, dependent upon assignment. ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. Minimum Requirements Candidates must meet both the Education and Experience requirements: EDUCATION Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college level courses in programming, computer science, or software engineering or related field. A list of coursework must be submitted with the application. EXPERIENCE OPTION 1: Three (3) years of work experience in a production environment, within the past five (5) years, performing analysis and programming for the purpose of developing business applications, includingat least six (6) months’ experience as a project leader for small to medium scale projects. Applicant must have experience in the following: SQL Server or DB2 SQL Analytics -OR- OPTION 2: Two (2) years of work experience managing QIP in a Designated Public Hospital within the past five (5) years, performing systems analysis and project planning for the purpose of developing business applications. Qualifying experience must have been using the following primary development languages and frameworks: SQL Server SQL Analytics Substitutions: A Bachelor's degree in programming, computer science, or software engineering may substitute for one (1) year of the work (non-lead) experience. Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following: Two (2) years healthcare experience Designated Public Hospital or Public Health Plan experience Two (2) years experience with P4P programs or five (5)+ years healthcare analytics experience SQL report writing Selection Process There will be a competitive evaluation of qualifications based on a review of the Application and Supplemental Questionnaire.
