The Role

The Programme Manager is accountable for the day-to-day management of the Property Management Programme, ensuring solutions are fully integrated and embedded in the business and benefits are successfully realised. They will lead the programme as a true Business transformation, rather than a Technology transformation, ensuring the programme is delivered to agreed budgets, business outcomes and benefits are realised.

The successful candidate will be a strong commercially focused leader with attention to detail, a drive for quality and have the ability and skills to build excellent collaborative working relationships. They will have a strong internal and external customer focus along with excellent numerical and organisational skills.

What You`ll Be Doing

  • Accountable for the delivery of the programme and day to day management.
  • Support in raising the bar on how we deliver the programme and changing the mindsets and behaviours to enable that.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement best practices and lessons learned from completed projects across the organisation.
  • Promote a culture that motivates and inspires excellent collective and individual performance within the programme to realise the identified benefits.
  • Engage with all key stakeholders, leading the culture shift from a Technology transformation to a Business transformation
  • With support of PMO, ensure the programme is governed effectively, aligning to the Unite Students Change Framework.
  • Consolidate and document the fundamental components of the programme (scope, schedule, resource requirements, objectives, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality).
  • With support of PMO and key stakeholders, prepare Business and Benefits case for the programme and projects.
  • Develop and manage programme plan with programme team and key stakeholders.
  • Gain thorough understanding of interdependencies between projects and their impact on the programme, managing them accordingly.
  • Ensure the programme is on time, to quality expected and achieves agreed objectives and benefits.
  • Identifies and manages risks and issues, escalating to Programme SteerCo /Exec as appropriate.
  • Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
  • Identify and resolve differences between individuals and/or interest groups at programme level.

What We`re Looking for in You

  • A confident, commercially focused individual who can build relationships and gain credibility with senior, Business and Technical stakeholders, with the ability to challenge where required.
  • Demonstrated experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Demonstrated knowledge and successful experience of large-scale Commercial / Digital change programmes, preferably within PBSA or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and project governance.
  • Experience of evaluating the do-ability of plans considering volume of change and supply /demand.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
