Position:

Position: Programme Coordinator - NSQI Programmes

Contract: 4-month Contract (with possibility for extension)

Salary: €35,000

Reporting to: Department Manager for the National Specialty Quality Improvement (NSQI) Programmes

Closing date: 14 May 2025 at 17:00

Post Summary

The programme coordinator has primary responsibility for supporting day-to-day administration tasks for the NSQI programmes, primarily in respect of communications with participating hospitals.

Standard Duties of the Post

Duties will involve, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the NSQI programme management team in the communication with participating hospitals on key queries.
  • Review and prioritise responses to queries from healthcare professionals and hospital management.
  • Coordinate meetings, working closely with the department manager to ensure the efficient running of relevant meetings and follow-up of actions arising from those meetings.
  • Prioritisation of queries arising from communications with hospitals.
  • Support the management and dissemination of reports, publications, guidelines and other documentation as needed.

Work with the programme management team on other suitable duties as they arise

Requirements:

Person Specification

  • Relevant third level qualification with proven capability and 2-3 years’ experience in a comparable role desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills, with attention to detail and high levels of personal effectiveness. The person is expected to handle a varied and diverse workload to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent ICT skills, in particular, advanced MS Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook and the ability to work efficiently with multiple systems of information.
  • Self-starter with high motivation and the ability to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve goals within agreed timeframes.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise, whilst also demonstrating flexibility in the approach to work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment.
  • Project management experience desirable.
