Program Support VISTA Leader - Year 1
AB Christian Learning Center seeks to expand program services to at risk communities. Our purpose is to increase the number of economically disadvantaged families supported in early learning, literacy development, and out of school time programs. Our goal is to allow programs to be accessible to families whose children are not connected to educational opportunities needed to successfully participate in society. Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA Leader collaborates directly with the Project Director throughout the recruitment process in order to recruit high-quality Members. The VISTA Leader will: 1) Provide feedback on and suggest improvements on VISTA Assignment Description (VAD); 2) Collaborate with supervisor to develop a plan for on-site orientation and training (OSOT); 3) In collaboration with VISTA Supervisor, train VISTA members on the Project's reporting requirements and assist with reporting needs; 4) Guide VISTA members in creating their own sustainability manuals to assist subsequent VISTAs with continuing project implementation.
